SOS Children's Villages is a global federation that works to prevent family breakdown
and protect children who have lost parental care, or who are at risk of losing it. We are
non-governmental and non-denominational. We respect all religions and cultures and
work with trusted partners in places where we can contribute to social development.

Established from 1949 in Austria, SOS Children’s Villages are presently operated at 135
countries including Indonesia.

Family Based Care
We provide "Villages" as quality alternative
care for children who can no longer live with
their biological parents in a family
environment.

Emergency Response Program
We ensure that children who have lost their
parent and family members are provided
with basic needs assistance and trauma-
healing.

Each village consists of up to 15 houses As of today, we currently have 3 villages built

What We Do
where up to 10 children and 1 Mother live due to Tsunami and Earthquake in Meulaboh,,
together under the same roof as a family. Banda Aceh, Medan and Flores.

We ensure that every child gets the best
parental care in the family environment,

Based on the assessment conducted by National Social Impact Assessment in

2020 with 8 dimensions of indicators: Care, food security, accommodation, health,
education & skills, livelihood, protection and social inclusion, social and emotional
wellbeing.

Local-funding since 2020

Even though we are a part of an international organization, SOS Children's Villages Indonesia has
been self-sufficient in the past couple of years. We are happy to know that the global funding
can be directed to other countries who need it more, yet we strive and innovate to ensure we
can always be able to provide the fulfill our children's needs independently.
We need your support.
Our fundings obtained through support from individuals, communities and institutions from
various programs such as child sponsorship programs, grant programs, and partnership
programs with private, individual and donor agencies both local and international.

There are many ways where you can be part of making our children's dreams come true.
Through various programs and projects, we ensure that the support you give to is allocated
properly for the best interests of our children.
