1. Relative atomic mass (RAM) = mass of an atom / (1/12) x mass of carbon atom
2. Relative molecular mass = relative formula mass = molar mass
● Sum of relative atomic mass (RAM) of each atom within the molecule

● Example, Calculate the molar mass of CO2
