Single freight vehicle: A single motorized vehicle intended for the transport of freight on the roads.

In addition to the general safety requirements stated in the
part three of this guideline, livestock transport truck safety
requirements shall be as follows:

In addition to the general safety requirements stated in the part
three of this guideline, the safety requirements for container
transport trucks shall be as follows:
5-5 The containers shall contain special angles that suit the twist locks. It
cannot be properly secured unless the twist locks are used as shown in

of the container used for transport, so it does not exceed the dimensions and
weights stated in the Saudi Standard Specification for (SASO 469/2088).

In addition to the general safety requirements stated in part
three of this guideline, the safety requirements for frozen/
refrigerated materials transporting trucks shall be as follows:

6-1 Vehicle design must allow inspection, cleaning, purification, and temperature control.
6-2 Internal surfaces shall be made of suitable material since it is in direct contact with food; for

instance, surfaces may be made of corrosion resistance steel, or it can be coated with food
grade epoxy resin.
Vehicle must be equipped with a cooling unit.
6-4 Vehicle must be equipped with a temperature sensor, to determine cooling unit temperature,

6-5 Vehicle must be provided with a thermostat to control the temperature inside the trailer

In addition to the general safety requirements stated in the
part three of this guideline, the safety requirements for solid
materials transporting trucks shall be as follows:

Failure to cover the load well causes a lot of danger to the safety of the road and other road users, therefore,
when transporting the load, you must constantly ensure that nothing could fly out. In case debris fall off the
load, you must do the following:
1- Stop immediately on the side of the road in a safe place and cover the load properly.
2- Do not continue the trip unless you make sure that the load is fixed and covered.
3- If you are not able to cover the load properly, you must not continue the trip until help arrives.

In addition to the general safety requirements stated in part
three of this guideline, the safety requirements for trucks
transporting exceptional loads shall be as follows:

10-1 
Compliance with the regulation on the carriage of exceptional (indivisible) cargo issued by the Ministry of Transport.
10-2 
The truck must be suitable for the type of load being transported, ensuring that the number of its axles is sufficient to distribute
the weight of the load on it.

Obtaining an exceptional load permit in accordance to the regulations for transporting exceptional loads and complying with its
provisions.

Organizing and distributing the load weight on truck axles while complying with the minimum limit in its hight, length, and width.

Ensuring that the height of the loading surface is suitable for the load. It is preferable to use trailers with low loading surfaces.

transported load at a height no less than two meters from the road surface.
10-7 A vehicle equipped with a bright orange or rotating lantern on top must be allocated to accompany the truck from behind if the
width of its transported load or material ranges between (3.50 – 4.30) meters. If its width exceeds (4.30) meters, it is necessary
to allocate another vehicle with the same previous specifications to accompany the truck from front.

If the width of the exceptional load exceeds (4.30) meters, warning lanterns must be placed as follows:
