SUBJECT UPDATING OF S.O. NO. 496, SERIES OF 2019 DESIGNATION OF

REGIONAL ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION COORDINATORS FOR
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UNIFIED NATIONAL
ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION PROGRAM (UNAIP)

In the interest of service and to ensure smooth implementation of the Unified National
Artificial Insemination Program (UNAIP), a component of the Genetic Improvement
Program (GIP) of the Department, the following Regional Artificial Insemination
Coordinators (RAICs) are hereby designated:

The RAICs shall: (as per General Implementing Guidelines signed by then DA Secretary
Edgardo J. Angara)
1. Review current activities on artificial insemination and formulate plans in
operationalizing the UNAIP in respective juridical areas
2. Oversee and monitor program implementation
3. Ensure that each province has a designated Provincial AI Coordinator (PAIC)
4. Submit, through the Regional Executive Director, periodic reports as often as
required preferably in electronic format
5. Assist other genetic improvement programs/projects of the Department.
Expenses incurred in the performance of their duties shall be charged against their
respective Livestock Program Funds.

This Order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force and effective unless
officially revoked in writing.
