Answer:
The activity link entitled “Do you have what it takes to be a great teacher” is very intriguing and
surprising when you discover the result of your answers in the survey. It's intriguing in a way that it
provides each respondent the chance to discover the skills they have as well as the areas of their
capabilities that need to be developed in order to become an excellent teacher. Surprising because, as you
pursue this vocation of becoming a teacher, you will eventually learn from the result of the survey what
type of teacher you’ll be.
Moving on, being a good-natured professor is the result I received after I answer the survey. It is
said that a good-natured professor is fun-loving, and likable, which can be a big plus as a teacher.
However, there’s also a disadvantage in the skill they mentioned because I’ll probably need to work on
some strategies to help me stand my ground in front of a class. My opinion on the aforementioned
outcome is largely supported by the fact that I am aware of my propensity to become concerned about the
circumstances of those around me, and that as a teacher, I most likely develop into an empathic professor
who is constantly considering what my students are going through. Furthermore, regarding the
disadvantage the result had given, I probably will have difficulty standing my ground in front of the class
because of the insufficiency of my self-confidence. My lack of self-confidence is due to my past failures
in life that lower my trust in myself. I need to use these failures not as an obstacle that will cause me
difficulty but as a motivation to continue on in life and turn my failures into accomplishments in order to
overcome the difficulty that I'm facing, not only if I choose the profession of being a teacher but also as I
continue my journey in life. If I increase my self-confidence as well as trust my knowledge and life
experiences to teach my students the things they should know, I can overcome the difficulty of making a
stand in front of a class to become a great teacher.
To sum it all up, I learn new things about myself by answering the survey in the activity. I also
have the time to think back on the events in my life that shaped who I am now. Being a teacher is a
difficult profession because of the many perceptions that students may have of their professors. In
conclusion, this survey will be very beneficial to some people who desire to teach in the near future or, to
be more precise, to work as a CPA practicing in academe in regard to our selected course.
