1. It was always maintained that decision – making skills are important for teachers.
What do you think can you do to improve your ability to make good decisions as
you plan and deliver instructions?
Trust instincts
Intuition, gut feeling, instinct… you can call it whatever you prefer, but it is
one thing that software code will never be able to replicate. Some of the
world’s greatest leaders rely on their intuition to make the final decision and
they swear by it. I think it’s one of those things that people use every day, but
underestimate when it comes to making decisions

2. Do you think teaching is a calling? A social service? If you do, why? If not, why?
Teaching is a Calling
We all believe that teaching is merely a job, but most of us don’t know that
teaching is a noble calling. Therefore I believe that teaching is really a calling.
As I look around or even where I go, I always encounter children who is in need
of a proper education. Every time I see schools with children I realized how

important education is. When I see children I can see hope that someday they
will going to be an asset or they are our country’s future. Because every child is a
gift, they may have differences but after all there is a hope and beauty in them.
That maybe is one of my characteristic to see the beauty in everything that I see
and encounter.
I don’t know why but one day, in a typical day I just woke up and realize that I
want to be a teacher. I believe that in my own unique ways I can be an effective
teacher to my future students.
3. Why did you want to be a teacher? What about teaching most appeals to you?
What excites you when you think about standing in front of your own classroom?
What is the least appealing thing about teaching? What about teaching scares you?
Every one of us has their own reasons in coming up a decision and it can be
influenced by the individuals that surrounds you, your own wants or desires
and even in the community that you are belong to.
I was raised knowing how important teachers are and what the hardships to
be one are. It requires a lot of courage and patience to be one. Because i am

one of those individual who came from a family of teachers. But aside from
that factor, choosing to be a teacher is my own decision.
My greatest reason is I really wanted to teach, I really wanted to give learning
that lasts to others because from then I believe that I have that courage to be
an educator.
What most appeals me is that, I love children I am enjoying when I am with
children. I love working with younger ones. That is what all of my friends
says. Children now a day’s seems to have that attitude at an early age, and as a
future teacher which has a disciplinarian side. I wanted children to learn in a
way that they are not pressured to do so. I want them to grow and exposed in
a well-mannered way.
In my years of experience in various classrooms, I have witnessed different
kinds of teachers. And as I witnessed those, I’ve already come up with the way
how I wanted to be as a teacher in my own classroom. I wanted to be a strict
teacher, who is very particular in student’s behaviour. A teacher that when in
front I wanted my students to have a full attention on what I discuss.
The only thing I scare is, what if students doesn’t want the way I Teach, what
if I did something that is not satisfactory to the students. What if I do not meet
what my students expectations to me.
4. Teachers are expected to be people of good character and role models to students.
What are the limits of this expectation? What are some points at which the rights
of the school district and the end of the right of the teacher begin?
Teachers are expected to be a good example for their students, the individuals
who serve as a role model. Many students especially those at the elementary
level has that characteristic that they idolize their teachers. But sometimes
teachers also has their limit, sometimes their patience and understanding are
being tested.
Teachers are expected to be patient and understanding, as a teacher you need
to go extra mile just to understand and not to lose temper at your students.
Students differ in many ways I understand that, but as a teacher I am also that
typical individual who has its limit. My limit will be tested if I have students
who are:
Rude, the ones who doesn’t respect and listen to their teacher anymore

There are some teachers who abuse their right or authority this include those
teachers who:
Yes, because when you choose to be a teacher you also have said yes to the
numerous conditions that are being assigned in becoming a teacher. In
everything we have that stereotyped practices or beliefs. And in becoming a
teacher, which is considered as professionals. Teachers are also expected to
act like one.

7. At this moment, what seem to you to be the most important issues with which
teachers should concern themselves? Defend your choice. What can you do to help
bring about the changes you consider the most important?
Change is bound to happen, as they say change is the only thing that is
constant. As our world change, the reason why everything is in connected
with technologies now a days. This change is also rampant in education. The
traditional teaching is slowly degrading, the visual aid in manila papers, the
outdoor activities without the use of technology are one of the many practices
that is not being experience by our todays learners.
That is why classroom proper or classes now a days are with the use of
technology. Where in students continue to embrace technologies because
even in learning they are using technology. Most of the teachers are facing
difficulties in dealing this type of change. There are some teachers that even
they use those gadgets like laptops, projectors they still feel difficulties.
Because even technologies change and continue to update. As time passes by
it continue to upgrade and it becomes more and more technology advance.

The numerous seminars about ICT are a huge help for every teachers who are
not really used in using technology. But as I said these technologies continue
to change that is why workshops, seminars and trainings about this should be
more rampant.
