Introduction
This document contains the release notes of Nemo Analyze version 8.60, released in June 2021. The
document describes new functionalities and fixed issues.

Nemo Analyze is a powerful and versatile, cutting-edge analysis tool for performing benchmarking,
troubleshooting, and statistical reporting based on drive test data. Nemo Analyze is a desktop tool that
incorporates an innovative, low-maintenance database engine that has been designed and optimized
specifically for high-performance post-processing of drive test data. Nemo Analyze helps you to
streamline your processes by enabling you to automate the entire data processing chain from a drive test
to an open workbook with analysis results.

Nemo Analyze offers a comprehensive set of technology-specific Key Performance Indicators for the
latest wireless technologies and a wide range of data views that are known to offer the best visualization
of drive test data on the market – yet it is highly cost-effective, easy to set up and to use, and it scales to
meet the needs of organizations of all sizes.

Nemo Analyze offers support for all major wireless technologies, including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA,
HSPA+, TETRA, TETRAPOL, TD-SCDMA, LTE, LTE CA, VoLTE, NB-IoT, LTE-M, Massive MIMO, and
5G NR (both scanner and UE measurements). Nemo Analyze supports all the Nemo product line test
tools. Measurement data in CSV (Character-Separated Value) ASCII format is also supported.

align with the use case. For physical layer
throughputs, you must select both the application
and the direction to correctly filter out non-
relevant values.
- The IMS parameters and events that were
previously implemented for LTE, are updated to
work for NR as well
- There is a new analysis KPI that returns the
found distinct cells from the measurement with
cell specific information

Details
If there are several users using the same Nemo Cloud connection in Nemo
Analyze Enterprise environment and they have set the name of the Nemo
Cloud connection to be different, some settings will disappear from other
users. The names used for the Nemo Cloud connection should be set to
be same for all clients.

If the user has a license for Server Reports functionality, they can design
the reports even when connected to the local database, but there is no
way to test/run the reports over the local database, instead a connection to
an enterprise server is required.
Avoid (replace) reserved words “BTS”, “DATE” (and other SQL reserved
words in caps) and certain special characters (e.g. apostrophe) in
measurement file names. Otherwise measurement may not be loaded
correctly, or there may be problems with workbooks and reports.
All files loaded to Nemo Analyze must have unique filenames to avoid
issues with file loading and usage.
When saving reports to PDF, they don’t scale well and cause i.e. blank
pages in the result PDF. This is because many of the pre-defined reports
are not optimized for such exporting. If there is a need to export to PDF, it
should be considered when designing the reports.
On some computers, maps are not correctly generated for reports,
instead a blue or black background is drawn for the area. This can
be fixed in Registry Editor by adding a new DWORD
“WorkbookExportMode” with value 1 to
“Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Anite\Nemo
Analyze”
If user copies an event in Event Scheduler, deletes it and tries
then to paste it to Event Scheduler, a crash may occur. Copy and
paste works fine if the event is not deleted before paste.
The current copy protection dongle HW and licenses were
introduced with Nemo Analyze 7.30. Nemo Analyze version 7.30
and higher are not compatible with the older license dongles.
Therefore, the new USB dongle must be available before updating
to Nemo Analyze version 7.30 or higher. Without the new USB
dongle, you will not be able to use Nemo Analyze version 7.30 or
higher. All fielded dongle keys and licenses must be migrated to a
new dongle if used with Nemo Analyze version 7.30 or higher.

File Format compatibility

Nemo file format

Nemo Analyze 8.60 is compatible with Nemo log files up to Nemo File Format v2.46, and all older file
format versions.

- Note that Nemo Analyze can also read newer files than the ones mentioned above, however the
new information elements are discarded.

TEMS file format

Nemo Analyze 8.60 supports files from the following TEMS tools (up to Route Reader 22.3):

- TEMS Automatic 12.x, 11.x, 10.x, 9.2

- TEMS Investigation 22.x, 21.x, 20.x, 19.x, 18.x,17.x, 16.x
- TEMS Pocket 22.x, 21.x, 20.x, 17.x, 16.x, 15.x, 14.x
- TEMS Symphony 7.x
- TEMS Sense 4.x, 3.x, 2.x, 1.x
- TEMS Paragon 4.x, 3.2, 3.1, 2.x, 1.x
- TEMS Voyager 2.3.1, 2.x, 1.x

R&S SwissQual file format

Nemo Analyze 8.60 supports QualiPoc files up to version 20.3. Note, that some of the older versions may
not be fully supported.

QualiPoc product line consists of:

Installation

First-time installation
 Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with administrative
privileges.
Install Nemo Analyze 8.60 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup wizard. Restart the computer
after installation if required by the setup wizard.

Upgrade from version 7.2.x and newer

 Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with administrative
privileges.
1. Uninstall the previous version of Nemo Analyze from Control Panel  Add or Remove programs, NOT by
running the Nemo Analyze 8.60 setup. Restart the computer if required by the setup wizard.
2. Install Nemo Analyze 8.60 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup wizard. Restart the
computer after installation if required by the setup wizard.

Update/upgrade from versions 7.0 or older

 Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with administrative
privileges.
 Version 8.60 update can be performed on top of any older version, but the existing database may
have to be removed if updated from older than version 7.0.
1. Uninstall the previous version of Nemo Analyze from Control Panel  Add or Remove programs, NOT by
running the Nemo Analyze 8.60 setup. Restart the computer if required by the setup wizard.
2. Install Nemo Analyze 8.60 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup wizard. Restart the
computer after installation if required by the setup wizard.
3. The Failed to connect to database error may appear when starting Nemo Analyze for the first time after the
installation. In this case, close Analyze.exe and AnalyzeSocketServer.exe processes from the Windows
Task Manager, and run C:\Nemo Tools\Nemo Analyze Datastore\remove database.bat
