Body Systems Project

We have been reviewing the various organ systems that keep the human body
running efficiently. Two of the most important systems include the digestive
system, which breaks down food in your body, and the circulatory system, which
transports oxygen, food, and carbon dioxide throughout the body. For this project,
you will work by yourself or with one partner. You will create a poster or a slide
presentation to answer questions about either the digestive or circulatory system.

Each presentation needs to include the following information:

1. Name of the System
2. Identify components/parts in the system and describe in general terms how
the system functions.
3. Describe common factors that affect the healthy function of the system.
4. Explanation as to how the system interconnects with other systems.
5. Explain how the system changes or adapts in response to changing stimuli
like exercise, diet, temperature, etc. (conditions)
6. Diagrams and/or illustrations of the system
7. Describe one common diseases/disorders of the system and ways that they
are treated (include information on how the disorder impacts the body,
signs/symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of the disorder)
8. Describe some current examples of research being conducted related to the
system and explain how the research will improve human lives.

You must include at least three resources for information used throughout your
project. All resources/websites that you use for information must be identified
in your work. This can be provided on a slide at the end of your slide
presentation or written on the back of your poster.
