DELEGATION OF POWERS
IT is notified for general information that the following Instrument with respect to the delegation of certain
powers by the Public Service Commission to the Director of Statistics was issued by the then Director of
Personnel Administration on the 30th April, 1968:
THE CONSTITUTION OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
DELEGATION OF POWERS BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION UNDER SECTION 93
OF THE CONSTITUTION OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
To: Director of Statistics in the Central Statistical Office.
UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section 93(1) of the Constitution of Trinidad and Tobago, the Public
Service Commission, with the approval of the Prime Minister, and subject to the conditions expressed here-
under, hereby delegate to the Director of Statistics in the Central Statistical Office the following powers of
the Commission:
1. Power to appoint persons to the temporary posts of:
(i) Field Interviewer I
(ii) Clerical Assistant
(iii) Statistical Assistant in the Central Statistical Office; and
2. Power to remove and exercise disciplinary control over any person appointed under and in exercise
of the power of appointment hereby delegated.
Provided that no such appointment shall be made except on a temporary basis:
Provided also that this delegation is subject to revocation at any time.
The Director of Statistics shall submit to the Commission once in every quarter, a report of the exercise of
any of the powers delegated above.
