TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

MILLED FIBERS M149

Revision-A
I. DESCRIPTION.

Milled Fibers M149 are engineered filaments that have been milled into various bulk densities to
form powders or floccular masses with specific chemicals sizings to maximize end-use performance.

II. USE.

Milled Fibers M149 are used as reinforcement and filler medium in plastics composites, adhesives
and coating to enhance mechanical properties, increase modulus, improve dimensional stability and
minimize distortion under elevated temperatures.

The fibers M149 are compatible with thermoplastics materials (including PTFE) and thermoset
materials such as polyester, phenolic, silicones & epoxy. Milled fibers are also compatible with most
asphalt, putties, patching cements & others coating, are designed as reinforcement in paste for
gluing of pieces and as filler médium.

III. MILLED GLASS FIBER DETAILS.

• Finely ground, short fiberglass filaments are ideal for creating fine fillets and filling gaps.
• Increases dimensional stability and impact strength while minimizing shrinkage and distortion.
• Wear proper safety protection when blending Milled Glass Fiber and other fillers into mixed
resin/hardener.
• Can be used alone or blended with Silica Thickener to prevent sagging on vertical and
overhead surfaces.
• Product Color: White
• Cured Color: Off-white
• Sizes: Available in 1-Quart and 5-Quart sizes.

V. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

VI. PACKAGING.

Milled Fibers M149 shall be packed in corrugated cartons or polypropylene bags of sufficient
strength to ensure adequate protection during transit and stores.

VII. STORAGE CONDITIONS.

Stacking of material is solely the responsibility of the User. Milled Fibers M149 must be stored in a
dry and temperate location. The product should remain in its original packaging, preferably closed,
until just prior to use. When stored properly, there is no known shelf life to the product, but retesting
is advised after three years from the initial production date to insure optimum performance.
