    I will be examining the effects of COVID-19 on the local economy. I selected this topic
    because it is extremely relevant in our current climate and will help me gather insightful knowledge
    into the true extent of this global issue, health risks aside. In addition, I hope to obtain crucial
    research, analysis and summary skills that can be applied in my desired field of study.

    I intend to use various internet articles, newspapers, opinionated blogs, letters to the editor
    and official data to source my information for this project. Summary and persuasive writing skills will
    be used in the report, and persuasive speaking will be used in the oral presentation.
