MUSIC
ARIRANG – a famous ninjo in Korea also known as Korea’s national anthem which is sung both in North and South
to express unity when they were divided during the Korean War.
NINJO – folk song that talks about the stories of life of common people.
SHOMYO – a classic Buddhist ritual chanting, said to have originated from India before entering Japan in the 6th
century.
TANGAK – a court music that started during the Tang dynasty, it is usually performed together with Tang-style music
called dangak jeongjae.
AIR – the main source of sound of Aerophone instruments.
HYANGAK - literally means “indigenous/native music, folk music’.
DRUMS - the following instruments are example of an Idiophone except one.
AAK - imported form of Chinese court music “Yayue” which means elegant music”.
CHAMBER MUSIC - music played inside a building, also a praise of kindness of the king and his ancestors.
MEMBRANOPHONE - the mains source of sound of these instruments is coming from the vibration of its stretch
membrane.
RITUAL MUSIC - features spiritual and devotional songs.
SECULAR MUSIC - themes that were not spiritual, meaning non-religious.

ARTS
CALLIGRAPHY - art of beautiful handwriting.
LOVE - the concepts of Chinese paintings.
SILVER and GOLD - the colors that are usually used for gods and spirits.
UKIYO-E - the woodblock printmaking of Japan.
YELLOW - signifies fierceness, ambition and cool-headedness.
SCENES FROM EVERYDAY LIFE - the painting subjects of China.
NATURE - it is always been regarded as an element of utmost importance in East Asian Countries.
East Asian countries have theatrical forms like Peking opera of Japan and Kabuki of China.
PLUM BLOSSOMS - do not belong to the four gracious plants of Korea.
SIX PRINCIPLES OF CHINESE PAINTING - it is applied to make Chinese painting interesting and realistic.
HALF RED and HALF WHITE MASK - it symbolizes the idea that the wearer of mask has two fathers.
OPERETTA - Huang Pang, Guan Ju, Zhu wen are some of the colors in face painting.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
CHEST PASS - kind of pass gives the best control and therefore is the most accurate kind of pass.
REBOUND - to acquire the ball after a missed shot.
SHOOTING GUARD - best outside shooter or perimeter shooter.
PASSING – this skill is used to find a team mate who is open to make a shot.
SHOOTING - it is considered as the most important skill in basketball.
FLEXIBILITY - the ability to do wide range of movement.
CENTER - it is usually the tallest player on the team who do rebounds and block shot of the opponent.
AGILITY - the skill of quickly shifting or changing direction of his body from one point to other.
SPEED - moves from one point to another in a shortest period of time.

HEALTH
SACRAMENT and a LIFELONG COMMITMENT - it is the view of the Filipinos about marriage.
The baby in their womb absorbs all the nutrients a mother takes in - the pregnant women need to become aware of
the food they eat.
GOOD CHARACTER - choosing a lifetime partner, a person who handles relationship responsibly displays.
PREGNANCY - the term used to describe the period in which a fetus develops inside a woman’s womb or uterus.
MAKING PEACEFUL and LASTING RELATIONSHIP - an example of an affection which may lead to courtship
between persons who are physically and emotionally attracted with one another.
SINGLE DATE - type of dating is fun if done responsibly.
EMPTINESS – it is not considered ingredient of a successful marriage.
TO STRENGTHEN THE RELATIONSHIP - very important to a couple.
COUPLES DO UNDERGO COURTSHIP - it allows couples to determine and focus on what to expect in marriage.
The mother needs to eat healthy foods and takes special medicine to ensure the health of the fetus inside the
mother’s womb.
Smoking and drinking liquor is not healthy during pregnancy.
