BRAINSTORMING

Instructions: Create or think of a team related to the nursing information system that will
provide a unique role in nursing practice.

Nursing Information System (NIS) is a part of a health care information system that deals with
nursing aspects, particularly the maintenance of the nursing record. A team related to the
nursing information system that will provide a unique role in nursing practice in my opinion are:

1. Information Technology. It allows brilliant individual to create remarkable systems,

processes solutions and report. It improves nurses documentation because proper
clinical documentation is very significant in every health care system.
2. Clinical Informatics Specialist. Integrates nursing, medical, clinical science, computer
science and information science to manage and communicate data, information,
knowledge and wisdom in our patient care and informatics practice. This specialized
informatics practice is essential to the delivery of high quality, and cost-effective health
care in a fast-paced environment where technology is ubiquitous.
3. Clinical Informatics Analyst. Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors
and troubleshooting with system issues. Interpret, modify, analyze and design clinical
systems, data and information. Design and implement educational and clinical services
programs; support end-user training.

4. Registered Nurse Clinical Information Systems Educator. Educate new hires on the
clinical informatics systems and programs used by your organization and promote best
practices through direct education as well as supplemental resources.

5. Nursing Informatics Specialist.  Facilitate communication between clinical and IT staff.

They speak two languages: technology and health care and focus specifically on
developing strategies for health IT procurement, implementation, maintenance, and
optimization in collaboration with other clinical and operational leaders.
