BlenderTM can be used for graphic design, simulation, animation and even considered as an
alternative to the engineering drawing (such as CAD/CAM). In computer graphics, animation is
performed by image transformation procedures to the selected object, image or scene over a
selected timeline. By using BlenderTM :

1. Design ONE (1) animal model of your choice.

2. Assign at least THREE (3) different colors to any of this model’s body parts.
3. By referring to this YouTube tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acZLhnWh2Zc) as
the main reference, create AT LEAST another TWO (2) objects to transform (or morph) your
designated animal into, in sequence.
4. Set ANY VALUES to your keyframe to transform (or morph) this animal model from one
form to another in your timeline (reference YouTube link above use keyframe of 60 frames
per transformation).

5. Color transformation of your animal model also NEEDS TO BE HARMONIZED with the
color of the object that this animal model will be transformed into.
6. Export your work to FFmpeg video file (follow similar settings to the link) and finally, ‘render
animation’ to extract the video file. Save the BlenderTM (.blend) and the output video files.
7. Once completed, you MUST submit your work individually by 15 NOVEMBER 2021
(11.59pm). You are required to:
a. Prepare the report in Microsoft Word / PDF format.
b. The report must include:
i. Cover page. Provide your details (such as name, matric no, section, etc.).
ii. Step-by-step procedures. List down (with appropriate image/pictures) all the
major procedures from modelling the animal to extracting the video file.
iii. Sample output. Capture both screenshot images (before and after the
transformation) of the output results and put it in the report.
iv. Source files. Copy of your BlenderTM (.blend) and video files and attach it in the
submission file. If the size is too big, please put it in a cloud storage (Google Drive,
OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) and share your link in the submission file and make sure
that the link works.
c. Submit a softcopy of your report to Author. Please make sure that your file is valid
and accessible as invalid/inaccessible file AND submission after the dateline is
considered as a NON-SUBMISSION.
d. Plagiarism WILL NOT be tolerated.
