Term Paper Topics

1. Energy Analysis of BIM Model with Detailed Energy Analysis Report

Using Autodesk Revit’s Energy Analysis Engine and Green Building Studio, Energy
Analysis of Residential/Commercial Architectural BIM Model will be carried out. Report
will contain detailed information of each aspect present in Computer Generated Report.

2. Sun, Shadow & Solar Study of BIM Model at Karachi with Different Surroundings
Solar heat gain, daylight and shadows of every building depends upon the location and
surrounding. Main BIM Model will be developed using Building Elements while the
surrounding buildings can be modeled using Masses (at least 2 Arrangements).
Geographic and Weather location should be Karachi, Pakistan.

3. Sun, Shadow & Solar Study of BIM Model at Different Climate zones of Pakistan
Solar heat gain, daylight and shadows of every building depends upon the location and
surrounding. Sun, Shadow & Solar Study of BIM Model at different Climate zones will be
compared.

4. BIM Architectural & Structural Model Quantity Takeoff Verification Using

Autodesk Revit & Navisworks
BIM Model will be developed using Autodesk Revit. Quantity Take off will be carried out
using Autodesk Revit that would be verified by QTO using Navisworks.

5. Structural Analysis of BIM Model using Autodesk Revit Structural Analysis System
Group will be required to develop 3D BIM Model and analyze the structure of Model
using Autodesk Revit. Report should contain Load Cases considered and Final Results.
