Dean D’Cruz Sir –

A graduate in architecture, and is actively involved in professional practice as well as

in academics. He has conducted numerous workshops and seminars on architecture,
planning and the environment across India as well as abroad. His works and articles
have been published in leading magazines in India and abroad.

He also supported the Royal Institute of Art Stockholm, Oxford Brookes University
UK, and PRATT Institute New York for their architectural and planning programs in
Goa.

He is a Partner and Principal Architect in MOZAIC DESIGN COMBINE’, a leading

design firm based in Goa, which is involved in Urban Intervention, Architecture,
Conservation, Product and Graphic Design.

MOZAIC DESIGN strives to provide holistic solutions to its patrons and explore
prospects of symbiotic growth of the clients with nature, encouraging sustainable
practices in design.
The architectural wing of Mozaic led by sir has designed over 250 houses, 50 hotels,
30 housing complexes, and about 30 institutions, offices and factories in India. The
firm is also striving to make a social impact in the areas of education, health care and
eco-living.

Dean D'Cruz sir has also been a recipient of numerous awards which include :

Designer of the Year – Special Commendation – 1999
Excellence in Interior Design Award – Commercial Category – 2000
Hospitality Pinnacle Award for Design Development for Hotel Architecture – 2001
The Institutional Architecture Award for Design Development (SM) – 2002
Architect of the Year – State Commendation Award – 2003
Designer of one of the 10 best Spas in Asia – 2004
Society Interiors’ Award for contribution to architecture and interior designing – 2006

He is also Member of the State Level Committee to prepare the Regional Plan for
Goa 2021.
Twice President of The Communidade of Saligao, working on developmental issues
in the village.
Ex- Chairman Indian Institute of Architect (IIA) Goa Chapter
Director with Goa Foundation and Green Goa Works, organisations involved in
environmental protection and environmental cleaning.
Ex - Design Chair of the Goa College of Architecture.
Present Design Chair BRICK School of Architecture Pune.

Along with these he is a Member of Board of Studies of many leading Architectural

Institutes.
