• Our History:
Conceived in Los Angeles over 22 years ago, C.T. Onglao has gone a long way and has indeed made its
presence felt in the American design industry. The first Asian design company that successfully struck out
on its own in a city where the mainstay of the design trade are the Filipino backroom staff, the company’s
strength lies in the authenticity of its Managing Director-Principal Designer, Conrad Onglao’s East/West
imagery and his exposure to and personal involvement in the work of many of the most important
designers in the West Coast-now acknowledged as the centre of design in the United

 Arch. Casas earned his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas
inArch. Casas earned his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas
CEO in1976 and passed the National Board Examination in 1978, with an overall ranking of 7th
Place.
Arch. Carmelo Casas’ international career started when he joined Eric Cumine Associates
inAugust 1978 as assistant architect where he got involved in Harbour City projects. In 1980 he
moved toPalmer and Turner (HK) as Design Architect where he got involved in major landmark
projects in HongKong, Singapore, and Indonesia. By 1985, he joined Architects Hawaii Far East
(AHFE) as ProjectArchitect for various hotel projects in China, such as Furama Hotel in Dalian,
and the Behai Hotel inBehai, China. He became an Associate shortly after and became the
youngest partner of the firm in 1987.
He co-founded Recio+Casas (HK) Ltd. in Hong Kong in October 1988. Arch. Casas
wasresponsible for major design projects in Hong Kong, Macao, and Mainland China. Together
with Arch.Jose Pedro Recio, they set up a branch office in the Philippines in 1990 to spearhead
their involvementas Design Consultant of the Pacific Plaza project, a pioneering high-rise
luxury residential development inAyala Aveñue, Makati, having Arch. Casas as Principal
Designer. In 1992, Arch. Casas establishedRecio+Casas Ltd. in Thailand to participate as Design
Consultant for various hotel, office, and residentialprojects, namely the Thailand Stock
Exchange Building, The First Pacific Building, Phuket Yatch Club,and the Queen’s Park Casa by
Land & House.
 In August 1996, after 18 years in Hong Kong, Arch. Casas decided to return to the Philippines
tolead the development of Pacific Plaza Towers in Fort Bonifacio, joining forces with his partner
who cameback 4 years earlier. The project, completed in 2000, served as a landmark design
statement for MetroPacific Corporation, original developers of the Fort Bonifacio Global City.
From then on, the firm grew as aresult of a wide range of clients who sought their expertise in
high rise residential and office buildingdesign as well as master planning. The firm received the

About the Firm
• Pablo R. Antonio Jr. Design Consultancy, Inc. Had its beginnings in 1936. It
was initiated by the late Pablo S. Antonio Sr., National Artist for
Architecture and the premier Architect of his time. He is best known for
designing the Manila Polo Club of Makati; the Far Eastern University, the
Lyric, Galaxy and Ideal Theaters, the Syquia Mansion, all in Manila; and
the PNR Station in Paco, Manila and Baguio City.
