Superior Position: HSSEQ Manager

Job Purpose: To assist HSSEQ Manager in implementing proficiency in health, safety, security, environment, and quality
integrated management system.

To assist HSSEQ Manager in: -

• Ensuring full compliance with Oryx Group HSSEQ requirements as well as ISO integrated management systems and
all applicable Tanzania’s and international legal requirements
• Maintaining a “live” HSSEQ Management System to ensure systems achieve continuous improvement
• Providing HSSEQ support to the team in the implementation of HSSEQ standards, and assisting to promote the
HSSEQ culture of the workplace, including contractors and customers
• Implementing HSSEQ plans and key performance indicators and regularly monitoring, evaluating, and accurately
reporting performance back to the relevant line managers.
• Maintaining and integrating the ISO management system to ensure business continuity.
• Implementing HSSEQ training programs to raise awareness and transfer best practices amongst staff and contractors,
provide HSSEQ induction training for new employees, and other HSSEQ training of operational critical processes;
• Follow-up on prompt reporting in the investigation of all incidents and accidents, check that all identified gaps are
properly closed out and timely communication of all learning from incidents to relevant stakeholders;
• Carrying out regular site safety inspections walks and participate in HSSEQ audits
• Ensuring all channels of HSSEQ communication are conducted effectively on site, such as Toolbox talks, and
participating in HSEQ meetings.
• Ensuring robustness of Emergency Response Plans (ERP), and Medical ERPs through regular drills and follow-up with
the operations manager to close the identified gaps.

Minimum Requirements.

• Diploma/Degree Health & Safety / Environmental or any other related field.

• Ability to prudently communicate and train to various levels within the organization

• Computer Literacy
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
