Executive Summary

The BBQ business is one of the most successful and simplest businesses that does
not require a huge investment. It is not seasonal, therefore it could operate every day no
matter what season or day it is.

Barbeque is a food that is famous all over the world but was given different twist
wherever you go, had attracted a lot of people. Mainly because of its delicious taste and
affordable price but also it is good choice of food either for parties, special events or even a
simple family dinner. Through creativity and trials for new flavor, barbecue can be made
into a lot of different style and be product that more people will patronize and love.

The Grillin’ Granny is a casual dine in and take out family owned barbeque
restaurant that serves mouthwatering, delicious grilled barbecue and meals that go
perfectly with a bottle of beer or other local beverages. It is located beside Techno Stress
Concrete Steel Corporation along Costa Plaza St., Minglanilla.

Barbecue is definitely one of the favorites of the Filipinos. It has a sweet and savory
flavor which every Filipino loves. Most of the time it is eaten as a main course or simply just
a snack which you can buy at a very affordable price at the streets, fast food or restaurant.
Seeing the affection that barbecue receives, Ms. Anne Margaret Casiao came up to the idea
of establishing a barbecue restaurant to meet the demand of the consumer.

This business aims for those customers who wants to purchase quality yet
affordable and healthy food that will satisfy the cravings of every hungry Filipino.

Business Objectives:
1. To provide the best service to every customer.
2. To create more innovative products that will appeal to the customers and attract more
consumers.
3. To be a go-to restaurant in terms of barbecue.
4. To provide all the resources employees need to remain as productive as possible.

I. Company Description

Ms. Anne Margaret thought of naming her company "The Grillin’ Granny" because
her business was inspired by her old godmother, who had been selling barbeque since she
was a child to sustain their day-to-day lives.

The Grillin’ Granny is a casual dine in and take out barbeque restaurant that serves
mouthwatering, delicious grilled barbecue and meals that go perfectly with a bottle of beer
or other local beverages. They offer variety of savory food option such as: Combo meals,
Chicken and Pork, Fiesta Platters, Miriendas and many more.

People are becoming more and more demanding when it comes to food. They want
to try out different cuisines and taste those unknown exotic flavors. So the main motive
behind Anne started launching her barbeque business is that she wants to preserve her
mommy’s special recipe of grilled foods that taste like home and continue serving it to their
loving customers. The business will seek to serve the everyday Filipino and satisfy their
cravings as early as 7am till 12 midnight daily.

The Grillin’ Granny barbeque restaurant is owned and managed by Ms. Anne
Margaret Casiao. Therefore this business is a Sole-Proprietorship type of ownership since
the owner herself makes all important decisions and is generally responsible for all day-to-
day operations. This business will be operated by 10 people, from the restauteur, to the
cashier, the cooks and the servers. It is located beside Techno Stress Concrete Steel
Corporation along Costa Plaza St., Minglanilla.

The business was founded by Ms. Raquel S. Antilegando the Godmother of Anne
Margaret Casiao. They established the business since year 2017 and instead of clinging to
those what they have started, Ms. Anne Margaret Casiao thought of rebranding the
company. She changed the strategies and replaced the company’s name with a catchy and
better one.

II. Product / Service Plan

BBQ is not just simple grilling. It is so much more than that! A good barbecue kitchen
consists of a technique, patience, seasoning and style. The business provide this food
service in combination with selling alcoholic and other beverages. The Grillin’ granny offers
variety of scrumptious& mouthwatering grilled goods, meals and beverages. To mention a
few, these are:

 Pork Barbecue – made out of pork slices marinated in sweet BBQ sauce and
skewered in bamboo sticks.
 Chicken Barbecue – consist of chicken parts or entire chickens that are
barbecued, grilled.
 Chicken intestine – it has chewy texture with a savory taste that is best for
pulutan.
 Chicken Liver and Gizzard- made of chicken internal organs that is traditionally
served as finger food.
 Pancit molo - It's an ilonggo dish that resembles a wonton soup. Pockets of meat
inside molo wrappers are added to boiled chicken and shrimp broth. Topped
with fried garlic and spring onions.
 Chorizo- is a very fatty and highly seasoned sausage typically made from ground
pork.
 Lumpia shanghai - Filipino-style spring rolls made of ground pork, chicken, or
beef filling wrapped in thin crepes called lumpia wrappers
 Chicharon bulaklak - Chicharon bulaklak refers to a part of the pork called
the mesentery. It is an organ that connects the intestines with the abdominal
wall.
 Pork rinds - pork skin that have been dehydrated and deep-fried (or baked) until
puffy and crisp.

A. Customers
Since the business is located along Costa Plaza st., Minglanilla, Then
target customer of the business are the residents who live around the area.
The residents can either be a student, employee, business owners, or a
member of a household with a capacity to buy our product.
B. Competitors
The grillin’ granny competes in the arena of cooked food sellers.

Nearby competitors that offers the same products including the well-
known businesses such as Mang Inasal which is a famous go-to fast food
chain of every Filipinos that mostly offers barbecue in their menu and other
karinderya around the area.

The menu that is shown below are the products that will surely satisfy the craving of the
everyday Filipino.

Promotional Mix
 The business advertisement is made through Social Media
platforms because it is the fastest and most convenient way of
reaching out for more customers. Most of us people are now
engaged in technologies. People spend their spare time scrolling
on their social Medias, particularly Facebook and Instagram these
are the apps that is mostly used among Filipinos.
 In sales promotion, The Grillin’ Granny hands out special rewards
and coupons their loyal customers. This is also the most effective
way of promoting a business.
 Public Relation – they ask their customers to provide feedbacks so
that they can determine the areas where they need improvements.
 Tarpaulin and fliers are also created as a direct and personal
marketing tool.

V. Operational Plan

1.1 Supplies – Choosing the right suppliers that can be trusted for the
operation to provide the high quality raw materials.
1.2 Equipment– Investing in equipments and machineries that enables
faster operation and reduces manual and repetitive tasks, having
these can increase both efficiencies and overall productivity of the
business.
1.3 Inventory- enables the organization to uphold its fulfillment
commitments and stay in line with its customers' expectations. 
1.4 Customer Service- The management will maintain friendly
and warm service with trained employees to build a good
relationship with their customers. Cleanliness will also be
maintained inside the vicinity of the store for both dine in
and take out.
