Pre-MidTerm Assignment #1
Facilitator: JEOFFREY R. ESCALA, BSME, MMExM, CSP
1)
Briefly, describe yourself.
I'm the kind of person who aspires to succeed in the future and is driven to achieve it. I don't mind taking chances. I establish daily routines and goals and constantly find the motivation to perform to my fullest. I set
up simple routines in life. I'm an idealist who tries to be well-organized. I'm always looking for self-improvement articles to help me become a better version of myself. I'm the type of person who never gets tired of
learning new things every day. I enjoy reading books, learning technologies, and trying to establish a routine that will benefit me greatly. I also enjoy spending time with myself. This part of me allows me to concentrate
2)
Why did you take up your course? [Your major course]
I took up accountancy as my major course to follow in my mother’s footsteps. There was another course that I had in mind however, enrolling in accountancy as my course brings better benefits. A career in
accounting can provide stability because the skill set will always be in demand. Accounting and financial expertise will be required by all companies, large or small, making this a stable field to work in. Accounting is not a
profession that can be easily outsourced, and accountants will always be in demand as long as people need help with taxes and businesses exist.
3)
How do you see yourself 3-5 years after your graduation?
This is a difficult topic for me to answer since thinking about the future and where I envision myself is difficult. Three to five years can pass quickly, but on paper, it is a hardship. It is much easier to elaborate on the
present. You never know what will happen. Setting new goals in order to achieve greater success. I'm not sure where I see myself in three to five years. I haven't given it much thought. Now imagine that I have
completed all of my coursework and graduated in three to five years. I must work very hard in order to give a better future for myself. I accept and learn from my difficulties. I am determined and enthusiastic about
practically everything I do. I want to be able to live my life independently, so I will do my best.
4)
Describe a decision that you have regretted and explain how you managed to “move on”!
Not being social in my younger years was my regret. Being social at a younger age gives you a better foundation for communicating with all types of people. It also helps you build connections with people you know
just by being able to talk to them. To resolve my regret, I decided to have a mindset that I accept my regret and do the most out of it. As the famous saying goes “It is better late than never”. As this semester comes
especially when it is face-to-face, I will do my best to be outgoing and social to create genuine connections.
5) Given the many challenges in society today, which particular challenge do you want to share? Are you up to this challenge?
Mental Illness is the challenge that most students are facing. It affects the brain that causes disruptions in thought, behavior, energy, or emotion, making it difficult to cope with everyday living
responsibilities. In effect, many students do not have the motivation and would perform social isolation. Personally, as a student, it would be a struggle but I will do my best to fight it. That is why I read
self-help books to be a better version of myself. I plan things so that I would be able to perform any day-to-day activities.
