１．Ｖ-て いきます／きます

●‫ؙ‬Basic sentence
私は おすしを 作っていきます。
Watashi wa osushi o tsukutte ikimasu.
I will make sushi and bring it.

私は おすしを 作ってきました。
Watashi wa osushi o tsukutte kimashita.
I brought sushi that I made.

●‫ؙ‬Use
Used when talking about the preperation you will do/have done for a
picnic or other event.

① ピクニックに おにぎりを 持っていきます。
Pikunikku ni onigiri o motte ikimasu.
I will bring rice balls to the picnic.

② 私は サンドイッチを 作っていきます。
Watashi wa sandoicchi o tsukutte ikimasu.
I will make sandwiches and bring them.

③ ケーキを 買ってきました。みんなで ୫べましょう。

Keeki o katte kimashita. Minna de tabemashoo.
I bought a cake. Let's eat it together.

●‫ؙ‬Commentary
A. ② means "I make a sandwich. Then, I will bring the sandwich.". ③
means "I bought a cake. Then, I brought the cake."
２．なん／いつ／どこ／いくつ でも ____________

●‫ؙ‬Basic sentence
くだものは 何でも 好きです。
Kudamono wa nan demo suki desu.
I like any kind of fruit.

●‫ؙ‬Use
Used when you have no preference for the amount, the location, or
other characteristic of something.

●‫ؙ‬Structure

① A：ピクニックの ঩は いつが いいですか。
A: Pikunikku no hi wa itsu ga ii desu ka.
A: For the picnic day, when is alright?

B：いつでも いいです。

B: Any day is ok.

② A：おにぎりを いくつ 持っていきますか。

A: Onigiri o ikutsu motte ikimasu ka.
A: How many rice balls shall I bring?

B：いくつでも いいです。
B: Ikutsu demo ii desu.
B: Any amount is ok.

③ おさけは 何でも 好きです。

Osake wa nan demo suki desu.
I like any kind of alcohol.

●‫ؙ‬Commentary
A. This sentence pattern indicates that there is no limitation for things,
people, time, location, numbers and so on.
３．Ｎ1と Ｎ2（と）、どちらが いいですか／N1が いいです

●‫ؙ‬Basic sentence
飲み物は お茶と ジュースと どちらが いいですか。
―私は お茶が いいです。
Nomimono wa ocha to juusu to dochira ga ii desu ka. -Watashi wa ocha ga ii desu.
Which would you like, tea or juice? -I would like tea.

●‫ؙ‬Use
Used when choosing which is preferred from two options.

どちら
N1 と N2 （と）、 が いいですか。
どっち

N が いいです。
●‫ؙ‬Example sentences
① A：ピクニックは ଅよう঩と ঩よう঩と どちらが いいですか。
A: Pikuniikku wa doyoobi to nichiyoobi to dochira ga ii desu ka.
A: Which is better for the picnic, Saturday or Sunday?

B：ଅよう঩が いいです。
B: Doyoobi ga ii desu.
B: Saturday is better.

② A：ワインは ஧と ஜ、どっちが いいですか。

A: Wain wa aka to shiro, docchi ga ii desu ka.
A: Which would you like for wine, white or red?

B：私は どっちでも いいです。

B: Watashi wa docchi demo ii desu.
A: Either one is fine for me.

●‫ؙ‬Commentary
A. It is used when asking the outcome after comparing N1 and N2.
B. The "と" in "N2と" is sometimes omitted.
C. In a conversation, "どっち" is used in place of "どちら".
