NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 85 read with section 86 of the Bengal Excise Act,1909 (Ben. Act
V of 1909), the Governor is pleased to make, with effect from the 1st day of April, 2021, the following amendments to
the West Bengal Excise (Country Spirit) Rules 2010, published vide Excise Department Notification No 1320-EX dated
12.11.2010, as subsequently amended (hereinafter referred as the said rules): –
Amendments
In the said rules, in rule 28, in sub-rule (1),–
(1) for the words and figures “without payment of 60 per cent”, substitute the words and figures “without
payment of 50 per cent”;
(2) in the proviso, for the words and figures “remaining 40 per cent”, wherever they occur, substitute the words
and figures “remaining 50 per cent”.
