Coffee Bar will be the next hang out place in Tacloban City for coffee lovers. With
our locally produced coffee beans and a menu showcasing Leyte delicacies, our
aim is to promote culinary diversity while providing excellent customer service in
our cafe.
Coffee Bar will operate in RTR Plaza Gazebo, Tacloban City, a walking distance
from the University of the Philippines, DILG, DepEd and Sto. Nino SPED Center.
Strategically, there are no nearby cafes or restaurants in this area. The goal is to
cater to both young adults and professionals by having customer-friendly prices.
The coffee industry has become quite popular among millenials. Other than the
coffee, most of them enjoy hanging out in cafes for the following reasons:
1. Ambience and aesthetics of the place;
2. Food art or instagram-worthy shots;
3. A peaceful environment to study or read a book;
4. A short escape from the stress of everyday life.
Sarah Misagal, a member of LeyTEFCA, will primarily act as the store manager.
Sarah has been with the association for a long time now. She has been an SME
owner and had a lot of experience in national trade fairs.
To reduce staff costing, Sarah will be on the job everyday to supervise and to
ensure good quality of food and service to the customers.
V. External Services
Meriel Irene Misagal will be contracted for the interior design renovation to
transform the souvenir shop into an elegant cafe.
All products that will be sold are goods from Leytefca. Hence, no external party
will be included in the business.
VI. Objectives
The ultimate goal is to showcase Leyte products. Some delicacies will be served
with coffee in a creative and fit for a high-end cafe food presentation. Other food
will be incorporated in the menu. A magazine showcasing other Leyte products
that could not be sold in the cafe will also be available in the counter. Contact
numbers for Leytefca SMEs will be available in the counter as well as the
magazine. These products will also be endorsed in the social media account of
Coffee Bar.
RTR Plaza is a strategic location surrounded by schools and offices. From time to
time, provincial events are held in the plaza which makes the area ideal for a cafe
to operate. On top of that, there are no nearby cafes within the immediate area.
Leytefca plans to have young students, young adults and professionals as their
target market. Both young adults and professionals are heavy coffee drinkers
while young students can enjoy the milk and snacks that the cafe will sell in a
very reasonable price.
X. Marketing Plan
Focusing on maintaining excellent service and good quality of the food and coffee
being served, Leytefca intends to ensure that there is proper training to all of the
staff and to maintain fresh supply of the delicacies incorporated in the menu.
To minimize cost. advertising will mostly be done online through the cafe’s social
media accounts. Loyalty cards will also be available on their first purchase to
promote repeat of business.
