Pensions are mostly found throughout

country that’s the opposite of a shack. A
chateau is a big home for wealthy folks.

Ryokan are facilities that specialize in "sleeping
on Futon in Japanese Tatami room type," whereas
hotels specialize in "sleeping on a bed in Western
room type." In many ryokan, you must remove your
shoes at the door and change into room shoes, such
as slippers.
