Independent Study Periods (STP) Agreement

AGREEMENT

I have read and understood the following school requirements and agree to abide by them. I also
understand that if I don’t make good use of the study periods or I misbehave, my study period
privileges may be revoked.

 Study Periods are a privilege, not a right. Students, who fail to fulfil their STP responsibilities or
are found NOT to be in their allocated room, will have this privilege revoked.
 Independent Study Periods are to be used specifically for completing missed class work,
assessments, certificate and/or University work. You must take sufficient work to keep you
fully occupied for the entire lesson.
 You will NOT be allowed to leave your allocated study room to go to the library or any other
room to study.
 You are not to distract the other students in the class.
 Your attendance will be recorded by the class teacher each lesson.
 Students in E-Block must report to Ms West or your Case Manager to have your attendance
recorded:
 Students who have permission to arrive at school late or leave early due to attendance at TAFE
etc. must swipe in and out at the lower office attendance window as they arrive or leave.
 If your allocated class is not in their timetabled room, you are to report immediately to the
Deputy Principal Support Officer (Ms Morton).
