Sleep is very important. People need eight hours of sleep every night. Not sleeping enough af
fects our bodies. The brain, heart and immune system are affected. People who do not sleep
enough have higher risks of getting sick. These diseases can cause early death. Examples ar
e heart disease and diabetes. Not sleeping enough can also cause diseases. It affects our br
ains. It affects things like depression and anxiety.
Not getting enough sleep is very unhealthy. A professor of neuroscience and psychology say
s that sleep is extremely important. It resets your brain and body. Brains check the balance of
hormones, enzymes, and proteins when we sleep. Brain cells open spaces to wash out or re
move toxic remains. Too many toxins can cause problems. Our brains are like dishwashers.
They clean and wash away dirt that causes health problems. Rest up and be healthy.
