17. Relevance of AMU curriculum in your Job: I did my BA, MA and PhD in Linguistics from
AMU and am currently teaching Linguistics in a British university.
18. Need any change in curriculum and syllabi: I graduated a long time ago and I am
aware that the department has updated its curricula according to the need of the
modern era.
19. Improvements in teaching and learning Process: The learning and teaching were
excellent and I owe my debt to my esteemed teachers for giving me such a strong
foundation of my discipline.
20. Your vision for the University: I hope the university will modernize and contribute
towards the knowledge of all its disciplines to the highest standard possible.
21. Your contribution to the University: I would love to contribute toward the university as
much as I can. AMU is my alma mater and I am proud of my department and
university.

development? In my time, there were different
academic activities such as organizing a mother
tongue day in which native speakers of each lg
have to introduce something about their lg.

Yes I am, When I get an appropriate chance to do so.

university? I havent come across such issues as things/ rules were applied
professionally in the department.

6. Have you obtained sufficient know-how (both in theory and practice) at
AMU?
Yes I have, the syllabus was really rich covering many and many significant
theoretical topics for each paper. Along with this, there were two field
works, local and external ones where we practically worked as a team on
analysing certain dialects spoken in the society.
7. Is the education imparted at AMU useful and relevant in your present job?
Yes it is, in the college where I currently teach, I teach many topics on
Morphology, Semantics, that I studied during my MA course.
8. Were the Chairmen & Teachers cooperative? Yes they were all. They used to
give extra time and classes when needed.

12. Did you ever avail Career counseling and guidance for higher studies
from Placement Cell? Yes, before joining my MA course at AMU. I have
consulted my teachers who taught me in my BA course.
13. If you are invited to deliver a Guest Lecture/a Special Talk/a Motivational
Session for your juniors, will you be interested? Yes I will, it's my pleasure
to come back to the organization I graduated from.
14. Would you like to join the Department/College Alumni Association? Yes I
would like to.
15. Have you participated in any Alumni meet as of now (organized by your
parent department? No I haven't.
16. Do you receive communications from the university/parent department
through Mails/ Calls/SMS etc? Yes, I am still in touch with my role- play
supervisor discussing issues related to publishing papers.

17. Relevance of AMU curriculum in your Job: There is a clear connection
between what I have studied and what I teach at the present time.
18. Need any change in curriculum and syllabi: To my knowledge, there were
changes at the beginning of every academic year and this indicate that the
department is aligned with the up to date theories, studies that in return
influence on students understanding.
19. Improvements in teaching and learning Process. In my PH.D course,
research schooles had to study two papers related to research
methedology. Along with this, students had to publish 1 paper related to his
own research area. Nowadays, I hear from student there, they have to
attend 2 international conferences and publishing 3 papers in an
international journals. This indicate that the teaching process is in progress
in favour of students.
20. Your vision for the University. It is a motivated, suitable learning
environment, alot of facilities such as Seminar( reading room provided with
huge number of books related to the syllabus in the department) and the
main library that receives thousands of students every working day, in
addition to the tremendous number of books, thesis, journals (soft and hard
copy) available to students.
21. Your contribution to the University. I used to help student who were
studying my mother tongue ( Arabic) and now and now I am doing my level
best in my teaching job as that gives a good image about the AMU.
22. Any other suggestions/comments: I have no comments at the moment but I
believe in the people my teacher who always try to do the best for the
department and students as well.
