MEANING OF CODE OF CONDUCT

 A code of conduct is management tool for setting out an organization value, responsibilities and
ethical obligations.
 Codes are typically comprised set of rules by any business stated either affirmatively or as
prohibitions
 It provides guidance to employees for handling different business situations.
 A code of conduct should provide a thorough description of a company’s expectations of
employee behavior.

A code of conduct promotes as good social and professional culture within an organization by
demonstrating how people are expected to act.

Scope: The applicability of the code to all employees regardless of rank

environmental, safety, and fair customer or business practices.
