Very good! -the clues that are used in the sentence are the
word “I think and I feel”
Now do you know what are those underlined

Those underline words are called Opinion No ma’am

Marking Signals

Opinion marking signals- are the words and

phrases that we use to help us better express or
share our ideas. These are the following, in my
opinion, for me, I totally agree, etc.

Example: I prefer using facebook than twitter.

What word is the marking signal? Everybody answers the word

Answer: I prefer using facebook than twitter

Another example:

I believe that Ramon Magsaysay is the greatest I prefer

president of the country.

What word is the marking signal?

I believe that Ramon Magsaysay is the greatest

president of the country.

The common opinion marking signals are as

I believe
follows: personally, in my opinion, in my
experience, etc. However, other phrases work in
the same context as well. So, for example, when
you hear a statement and say ‘I beg to differ,’
then start expressing your opinion—that’s
considered an opinion marking signal.

The same goes if you say ‘The way I think,.’ and

go on to express your opinion. So, while the
concept of opinion marking signals is clear and
simple, they don’t have to be limited to common
words. Instead, you can use endless words to say
that you’re about to express your opinion.

Now who wants to give their example?

Yes Ms/Mr.___
Someone is raising
Are we clear? Do you understand?
Students answer may vary
Do you have any questions? Violent reactions?
Yes ma’am
Before we proceed to our activity, let me ask you
some questions

facts and opinion?

As a student, how are you going to deal those Students are raising their hands

Why Many Tourists Visit the Philippines?

The Philippines is one of the most visited countries in

the world. There are numerous good reasons why many
tourists visit the Philippines.
Firstly, I believe the Philippines is known for its
hospitable people. Filipinos are very welcoming and
accommodating. I am certain that these Filipinos
characteristics are very attractive to many foreigners.
In my experience, Filipinos are always ready to help other
people in need. They are generous. The always share with
others, even if sometimes they only have little. It is their
belief that sharing is loving.
Also, many tourists think that the Philippines has the
beautiful islands and beaches. It has Palawan, Bohol,
Siargao, Leyte, and Boracay, to name a few. They take the
view that Philippine islands and beaches are breathtaking,
and there are lot of sea adventures to be experience and
