If you do not meet the entry criteria for your chosen undergraduate course, a University
Foundation year at Vancouver Island University may offer an alternative entry route.
Upon successful completion, you can continue to first year university studies at
Vancouver Island University or other universities in Canada*
We welcome applicants with O-levels, AS and A-level subjects unsuited to their chosen
course, non-standard qualifications or those who require additional English language support.
*Academic upgrading for specific university programs may be required, which will be built into the
student’s Foundation Year to the extent possible.
