Prioritize Study over Work

May I ask if you were a student at the same time a part time worker before when you
were studying? How does it feel to have gone through such experiences, and what can you
say about the life you have now? Do you have any regrets or are you grateful?
It is a common belief, especially among young individuals, that spending one's time
working a job is a better use of time than studying. However, this statement is misleading, as
college studies offer more beneficial long-term advantages. In present day and age,
individuals are far more concerned with what you have accomplished rather than with what
you can do or your physical body's capacity. Perhaps if they approach you and you know in
yourselves that you are not or do not hold a bachelor's degree, we would be embarrassed or
reluctant to respond their question. Across the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-
operation and Development) membership, Individuals with tertiary education are employed at
a rate of 83%, those with upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary education at a rate
of 73%, and those with credentials below upper secondary school at a rate of 55%. From
increased earning potential to greater advantages in the job market, there are enough reasons
to demonstrate that studying should almost always be prioritize over working. Prioritizing
studies over work or a job is a difficult decision to make, but it can be beneficial in the long
run. Studies are important for gaining knowledge and skills that can help you in the future. It
can be difficult to balance the demands of both, but it is possible to make the most of both.

When deciding whether to prioritize studies over work or a job, it is important to

consider your long-term goals. If you are looking to pursue a career in a certain field, then it
is important to invest in your studies to gain the necessary knowledge and skills. This will
help you to be more competitive in the job market and increase your chances of success.
Rapid technological changes and progress are what make every country thrive; yet, in order
to operate and manage them, you must have appropriate knowledge and abilities to perform
in the particular field you interact in. given the opportunity to study is a great blessing and
hope for individuals who want to lead a nice and not exhausting life. And you know, that
education may break the cycle of poverty, which is the root cause of all evil. It is important to
understand the importance of your studies. Your studies are the foundation of your future
career and should be given the highest priority. Investing in your education is an investment
in your future, and it is important to make sure that you are taking the necessary steps to
ensure that you are getting the most out of your studies.

According to DC Rubin, TA Rahhal, and LW Poon's research published in Memory &

Cognition in 1998, it is clear that things learned in early adulthood are remembered best. This
is likely due to the fact that the brain is most malleable at this time in life, making it easier to
form neural pathways and retain information. This is also likely due to the fact that the brain
is more active in early adulthood, meaning it is more capable of focusing and processing
information. Additionally, the fact that early adulthood is a time of exploration and growth
may also contribute to the strength of memories formed during this period. During this stage
of life, people are learning many new things, so their memories may be more easily triggered
and strengthened with repetition. In conclusion, the research conducted by Rubin, Rahhal,
and Poon demonstrates that memories created during early adulthood are particularly strong,
likely due to the brain’s heightened plasticity and activity during this time period.
On the other hand, A job or work can provide you with immediate financial benefits,
it may help you for a short period of time, but it may not always be the best option for your
future. For example, if you are working a low-paying job, you may not be able to save
enough money to invest in your future. Investing in stocks, bonds, or other investments can
help you build wealth over time, but if you are living paycheck to paycheck, you may not
have the extra money to invest mainly in your study. Working a job that does not offer any
benefits, such as health insurance or retirement savings, you may not be able to take
advantage of these important benefits. In addition, if you are working a job that does not offer
any opportunities for advancement, you may not be able to increase your income or gain new
skills. This can limit your ability to move up in your career and make more money. Specially,
if you are working a job that does not align with your passions or interests, you may not be
able to find fulfillment in your work. This can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and
unhappiness, which can have a negative impact on your overall wellbeing. And still
education is the answer, if you want to have a job that you really want with a high paying
salary you must need to prioritize and invest in your studies. It is also important to consider
the amount of time you have available to dedicate to studies and work. If you have limited
time, then it may be better to prioritize studies over work or a job. This will allow you to
focus on gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue your long-term goals.
According to a recent Pew Research Center poll, the top reasons Americans leave
their jobs last year were low income, a lack of prospects for growth, and feeling disrespected
at work. According to the poll, people who resigned and are now working somewhere else
are more likely than not to believe their current employment offers greater income, more
prospects for growth, and more work-life balance and flexibility. According to the conducted
poll last Feb. 7-13 2022 poll, the majority of workers who left a job in 2021 cite inadequate
compensation (63%), poor chances for promotion (63%), and feeling disrespected at work
(57%). At least one-third of those polled indicated each of these were important reasons they
departed.

In Addition, setting personal and realistic goals for yourself is essential when it comes
to prioritizing study over work. As Brian Cagney an author famous of “7 Laws” book series,
says "In order to know where you're headed, you must be aware of your own personal goals."
It is important to be realistic about what you can achieve in a given amount of time and to set
goals that are achievable. This will help you stay motivated and on track with your studies.
When setting goals, it is important to be specific and to break down large tasks into
smaller, more manageable ones. This will help you stay focused and organized. For example,
if you have a large project due, break it down into smaller tasks such as researching, writing,
and editing. This will help you stay on track and make sure that you are making progress. It is
also important to set aside specific times for studying. This could include setting aside a few
hours each day or a few days each week. This will help you stay focused and make sure that
you are making progress. It is also important to create a study plan. This could include setting
aside specific times for studying, creating a study plan, and breaking down large tasks into
smaller, more manageable ones. It is also important to make sure that you are taking the
necessary steps to achieve your goals.
More importantly, is to stay motivated and to reward yourself for achieving your
goals. This could include taking a break after completing a task or rewarding yourself with a
treat after completing a project. This will help you stay motivated and on track with your
studies.

Also, taking care of ourselves is essential for our physical and mental health. It is easy
to get overwhelmed and stressed when trying to balance work and studies. It is important to
make sure that we are taking the necessary steps to ensure that we are living a healthy and
balanced lifestyle. This includes getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, exercising
regularly, and taking time for ourselves. Sleep is essential for our physical and mental health.
It helps us to recharge and restore our energy levels. It is important to get at least seven to
eight hours of sleep each night. If we are not getting enough sleep, it can lead to fatigue,
irritability, and difficulty concentrating. Eating a balanced diet is also important for our
physical and mental health. Eating a variety of foods from all the food groups helps to ensure
that we are getting the nutrients we need. Eating a balanced diet can also help to reduce stress
levels and improve our mood. Exercising regularly is also important for our physical and
mental health. Exercise helps to reduce stress levels, improve our mood, and increase our
energy levels. It is important to find an activity that we enjoy and that fits into our schedule.
Taking time for ourselves is also important for our physical and mental health. It is important
to take time to relax and unwind. This can include activities such as reading, listening to
music, or taking a walk. Taking time for ourselves can help to reduce stress levels and
improve our mood.
Balancing education and job may be difficult. It is critical that we take the appropriate
steps to ensure that we are properly managing our time. Setting realistic objectives, breaking
activities down into smaller portions, and taking regular breaks are all part of this. It is indeed
imperative that we take the required steps to ensure that we are taking care of ourselves. Self-
care is critical for both our physical and emotional wellness. It is critical that we get adequate
sleep, consume a healthy diet, exercise frequently, and set aside time for ourselves. Also it is
essential to ensure that we are taking the required efforts to efficiently manage our time.

Lastly, the decision to prioritize studies over work or a job is a personal one. It is
important to consider your long-term goals and the amount of time you have available to
dedicate to studies and work. If you are able to make the necessary sacrifices to prioritize
studies, then it can be beneficial in the long run. I'll give my final point, as personal
testimonial. We all know how cruel and unfair life can be; everyone has situations that they
cannot handle and simply give up. I currently have a unique interesting teacher/motivator at
my school. There are several ways to describe a person as nice, but for me, even if others say
he is strict and cranky, it does not measure how effectively he communicates and motivates. I
was moved by his words every time he talked. He constantly recalls and teaches you that no
matter how difficult it is to study and keep up with your commitments, you should not
neglect your studies. He was always emphasizing the importance of education.
As an example, one of the scenarios he told us was about one of his college students
who had a good, stable, and high-paying job. But he preferred to return to school since he
didn't want to be questioned, and he was embarrassed to be seen by his coworkers who had
finished their studies but didn't have that kind of position at work. This is also what happens
to famous celebrities like Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Kim Chui, Vice Ganda and etc. who
choose to return to study after a lengthy period of working and saving money. It has also
become their insecurities that they have nothing to be proud of since, even if they have
everything, it is true that they don’t have a degree, they still think differently about
themselves.
Nevertheless, learning is frequently a great option because it leads to improved
professional prospects and can make a positive impact in achieving long-term goals.
Investing time and energy in studies might be challenging, but it can pay off well in the long
run. So, while we have the chance and privilege to study, let us do so because if we waste the
time that is given to us, our lives will be unproductive and unable to serve our purposes.
Students who study hard and dedicate themselves to their studies can reap the rewards of
higher education for many years to come.

Studying a book and writing in a note book does not last long, and it also comes to an
end at the appropriate time. But even so, this is simply a phase in a person's life. We learn
from many occurrences throughout our lives as we live. People these days see other people
who did not graduate or were not given the opportunity to study as being in a less
accomplished position than the others who have the power and ability in life and have
completed their studies.
These are the people that are usually mistreated; they are looked down upon, as well
as being not treated with respect and fairness. It is terrible to realize that this is the system
that swirls around our country. As time passes, as human knowledge expands, and as
increasingly more varied technology instruments are produced, people seem to forget to be
humane throughout many ways They are busy with so many things, they are worried every
day that, there will come a time when they are no longer in aligned with what their goal and
purpose in life is. It's difficult to comprehend a person's thoughts, which is the reason why
you can't pull them out of their loop. So, please do not let our attitudes and conduct to change
simply because we are higher or knowledgeable than they are. Negative attitudes hinder,
limit, and even impede learning, productive change, and growth.

Overall, when it comes to prioritizing your education over work, it is essential that
you consider your long-term goals, reassess your current job today, establish realistic goals
for yourself, stay on top of yourself, and reflect your choices on your own perspectives.
Providing us with a high-quality education is one of the finest presents we could possibly get.

need to prosper and pursue our aspirations. By approaching these five recommendations, you
can certain that you are getting the most out of your studies and that you are taking the
