DRAWING INFERENCE
INTRODUCTION
Inference is not something which is directly concluded
but it is something which is indirectly inferred (con-
cluded).
1) If statement is written as it is in conclusion, it is
referred as re-statement & re-statement is not in
ference.
2) Direct result or direct conclusion is not inference.
3) Inference is the moral of any story or it is one of
the highest possibilities of occurrence that we can
assume from statement.
Ex. 1) Statement:- Tortoise and Rabbit had a race.
Rabbit being faster was far ahead than tortoise. He,
in over confidence, thought of having nap until tor-
toise arrives. He slept for quite a long time and tor-
toise beat rabbit.
Conclusion:- Tortoise wins the race.
Inference: - Slow and steady wins the race.
This example shows that there is difference between
conclusion and inference.
Directions (Q.1-10): In Each question below is
given a statement followed by two conclusions num-
bered I and II. You have to assume everything in
the statement to be true, then consider the two con-
clusions together and decide which of them logi-
cally follows beyond reasonable doubt from the in-
formation given in the statement.

ment and so does not follow.

3. (5): Sunita has a very busy schedule. This means
