DESCRIBE A GOOD LAW IN YOUR COUNTRY

Well for the past three years, the world has been kept in a perilous ˈperələs
situation = tình huống nguy hiểm due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
And in order to stop the transmission tranzˈmiSH(ə)n sự lây truyền of this viral
disease, countries have to come up with a myriad of solutions.
In the case of Vietnam, which is my country, our government has adopted a
policy named Directive 16 as a preventive measure against this pandemic.
Basically, it MANdates thi hành closure of all non- essential businesses and
services nationwide.
It is also strictly prohibited for gathering of two or more people in any public
places
And of course, those who do not abide əˈbaīd by the provisions prəˈviZHənz of
this directive will be subject to heavy fines, or maybe they even be
prosecuted. /ˈprɒs.ɪ.kjuːtid / khởi tố
I think during the first couple of weeks when the directive was first implemented, I
think the general public had a quite tough time accepting it.
Which I think is somewhat understandable because, you know, it is hard to keep
yourself indoors 24/7, especially in a communal /kəˈmjuː.nəl/ country like
Vietnam.
But looking back at the past couple of months in 2021, I definitely think the
directive has worked wonders = have a good effect
I mean if you look at the statistics, the number of infected cases as well as the
death toll caused by the pandemic in Vietnam has been significantly lower
compared to other countries in the region.
I think the directive has definitely something to do with this.
And for that, I am very grateful for the Vietnamese government for taking the right
action, for choosing the right approach and successfully implementing this
directive.
