“What to do when Covid Hits Home”

With the covid-19 pandemic that happened in 2019 and lockdown in 2020 and 1 year of
ongoing lockdown here in the Philippines, I think people should be reminded every day
because our cases are increasing rather than decreasing. It is the people and Government
negligence that Covid is still here and will always be here, we got comfortable, and then
within just a second the cases increase rapidly that the government had to Restrict again
the Quarantine. I learned a lot about this seminar it gives a lot and a better view of what to
do when you got infected. With this reminder, I’m able to review the things to remember,
avoid and do.

I get to know what a covid patient experiencing inside the hospital like it needs to be
monitor once a day or up to every 8 hours and the Use of oxygen tanks must be under
supervision. COVID positive and are qualified for home care, the caregiver or any available
family member must be healthy and should wear proper PPE. If the whole household is
COVID positive, okay to isolate together but not to mix those who are for isolation and
those in quarantine because you cannot properly monitor the number of days. There are
also reminders if that is the case like No sharing of spaces, utensils, linens, etc. Clothes must
be placed in a separate laundry bag/basket and do not shake. If sharing common areas such
as kitchen and bathroom, it must be disinfected immediately after use of the patient.
-Separate room and bathroom -Good airflow -Keep the door closed -Delivery system for the
daily needs of individual without a lot of contacts. If possible of high-risk covid-19 or worst
symptoms, it’s better to be confined in the hospital even if you are along the corridors so a
healthcare professional can attend to your needs. Even though we don’t know when will
this ongoing high case in our country will stop, we just need to hope and pray that this will
immediately stop because we don’t lose our people, we lose our country with this novel
coronavirus. I believe better days will come and remember that there is always a rainbow
after the rain.
