Narrate the process of how you did the interview.

We, Simon Guzman, and I teamed up for the interview. Since the professionals whom I know are not
available on weekdays and even on weekends, I end up teaming with someone who will interview a
professional related to my own field. The first thing we did is we copied some of the questions from the
book that we really wish to ask and that is something relevant to us knowing as an ABM students who
will pursue Accountancy, in addition, we also prepared additional questions coming from us. And with
that, we messaged her- the mother of Simon, a Compliant Analyst- sending her the letter as well as the
questions, then, waited for her response. And, fortunately, she was available at the given time.

March 5, Sunday, came, and we wore presentable clothes for the interview and we went to their home
earlier than the given time. After waiting for her for a few minutes, she came and the interview started.

Simon and I first introduces ourselves and we explained to ma’am Nida the background of why we
wanted to conduct the interview. After which we asked ma’am Nida to introduce herself. She introduces
herself and she told us a little background about her present job. Then we began the interview session
by asking her questions. We asked her why she chose her profession. Also, we asked her to describe her
typical job, what she like most about her job, and how her position fit into the overall operation of
Nueva Vizcaya Cooperative Bank. Then we proceed to the questions wherein we could connect to, like
what are the needed skills and abilities that are important to becoming an accountant and what are her
advice she could give to someone starting out in this career. She answered our questions very well and it
is evident that she is an expert in her field since she has been in the industry for 26 years. She told about
her insightful experience from the day she chose accountancy, to the challenges that she experienced,
from the day she was a junior accountant till the day she was a compliant analyst. Afterward, we ask our
personal questions and we ended our interview by thanking her for her advice as well as her
encouraging stories.
