Please join us in welcoming Ms. Mohammed (biology, science) to CTA!

For this Valentines Day, CTA's HeARTs Department is
participating in the #showURheart group show at Gallery
IDFK in support of CAMH.

Visual Arts students used a variety of media to add their


creative touch to 5x5 inch chiclet canvases.

The exhibition will run from February 14 to 28, 2023


with a special preview on the evening of February
13th at 6pm.

We just LOVE participating in community projects that


give back!

WHAT IS STUDIO IDFK?

We are pleased to announce that as of November 4,


2022, IDFK has a permanent home in the art district of
Toronto. Just two blocks north of the Art Gallery of
Ontario (AGO) and OCAD University, IDFK's home at 190
McCaul St. is a standalone one-storey brick structure
offering 1700 sq. ft. of state of the art gallery, retail and
event-ready space.

tdsbCREATES Exhibition Opening:

Artwork by CTA's very own Edie Lamb will be exhibited


at this year's tdsbCREATES showcase. This Visual Arts
and Film Exhibition is a public installation of grades 7-12
student artwork around the theme of IGNITE!

Teachers, students, artists and community are invited to


attend the opening reception of the tdsbCREATES
Visual Arts and Film Exhibition at Artscape Youngplace
on February 15, 2023 at 6 - 8 pm. Please see this

Learning Commons
Celebrating Black Excellence and Black History Month in the Library Learning Commons! Come
check out some reading opportunities this February!

Interested in Sports SHSM 2023-24?


As a part of the Sports SHSM class, you will gain valuable certifications in Sports Leadership, Rock
Climbing, First Aid and CPR, Sports Physiotherapy Taping and Personal Training to name a few.
Students will also have the opportunity to take part in Career Exploration Activities, Sporting
Events and Health and Nutrition Training.

A few tickets are still
available – get them
while you can!!
Tickets are $30, available
to grade 9 and 10 CTA
students only and are
non-transferrable. The
event will be on February
16, 2023 from 7-10 at Europa - 1407 Dundas Street West. Permission forms will be available in the Library
or accessed here. Transportation to and from the event is the responsibility of students and
parents. Students should be picked up promptly at 10pm. There will be no in and out privileges. Students
in grades 9 and 10 who are interested in helping to organize are welcome to join the semi formal
committee which meets at noon on Thursdays in the Library.
TDSB Special Education and Inclusion

Course selection class visits have started! Please be sure to pre-plan your courses for next year prior
to your period two class commitment visit. Here is the course selection website where you can find
the class visit schedule and many, many other resources to help you plan.
