The Present Simple The Present Continuous

 To talk about everyday routines (regular actions or events)  To describe the action happening right now, at the moment of
e.g. They wake up at 7.30 every morning. speaking or close to it.
She wakes up at 10 o`clock at the weekends. e.g. I am chatting to my friends online at the moment.
 To talk about general facts or something that is always true. They are listening to music now.
e.g. The ice is cold. The water boils at 100*. He is reading an interesting book in the living room.
 Permanent state.
e.g. I live in Valka.
There are some verbs we don`t use in the present continuous (any continuous
tense)
!!!!! believe, hate, know, like, love, mean, need, know, prefer, understand,
want.
