R01, section 4.2.7 from the Technical Design.
For the purpose of Working Design is developed configuration based on PrismaSet P
series by Schneider Electric with fixed motor protection thermo-magnetic circuit breakers
directly attached to contactors. Other possible configurations shall provide similar functions.
CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE 1 OF NATIONAL DISPOSAL FACILITY
In case of selection of other types of circuit breakers the discrimination with upstream
and downstream protections shall be checked.
This configuration has been preferred to more sophisticated modular systems for the
following reasons:
All motors are comparatively small and are started in direct mode. This
refers also to the motors operated by frequency converters, as the solutions
developed in design part HVAC anticipate the solutions with frequency
converters built in the units.
The total power of the motor starter boards is small and correspondingly
comparatively simple molded case circuit breakers are sufficient as
incomers.
As the system is designed for operation exclusively in automatic mode, no
other control means are anticipated for these panels except status indication
lamps. The motor control for the common systems – hot water and chilled
water systems shall be done from the panel L-VA-PLC-01. Means for
manual operation for testing purposes shall be provided in the latter panel.
The buildings’ air handling system shall be controlled by the local HVAC
control panels x-VA-PLC01. Start/stop push buttons for starting and
stopping of each Air Handling system, including motors, fed from L-VA-PSB-
01/2 are provided at each building’s local HVAC control panel x-VA-PLC01.
This report provides as well functional diagrams for control of the following HVAC
systems:
Hot water system
Chilled water system
Fan coils for building L
The following Power Starter Boards, anticipated for NDF shall be complete delivery
with the equipment, therefore no separate design is necessary:
Fire protection motor starter board L-DA-PSB-01
Motor starter board L-AA-PSB-02
This report provides functional diagrams for control of the fire fighting pumps.
According to three separate feeders are provided to L-DA-PSB-01 panel – for each of
working and back-up pumps and for the jokey pump.
The design basis and main ratings are according to document EQEB-11207-TD-ЕLE-
R01, section 4.3.3 from the Technical Design.

11.2. Main cable raceways
The main cable routes consist of concrete cable ducts and wire mesh cable trays with
a bar of electro-welded steel installed on galvanized steel supports.
Vertical cable trays shall lead from main cable trays to each electrical or control panel.
The vertical trays shall be equipped with protective metallic covers.
At each wall crossing the cable trays shall be interrupted. The cables shall cross the
walls through penetrations with fire resistance not less than EI120.
The cable ladders for building L are shown on drawing AP-R10-WD-ELE-R09-D031.
The power cables connecting the power transformers and the diesel generator to the
MV and LV main switchgear will be laid in a cable duct under the floor of the room, closed
with concrete covers, shown in drawing AP-R10-WD-ELE-R09-D021. To pull the cable from
the diesel generator to the concrete cable duct in the room, a special cable tray with a cover
for floor installation, secured with suitable supports, is provided.
11.3. Cable leads to individual consumers and power socket panels.
Shall be laid in rigid metal protective conduits will be made of electro-welded steel with
a zinc cover whose thickness will be not less than 0,02 mm, with threaded ends in
accordance with EN standards.
The conduits shall be installed on the wall surface.
Each cable shall be installed in separate conduit.
11.4. Cabling of lighting and current socket installations and HVAC peripheral
components
In rooms with gypsum board walls and suspended ceilings:
The cables shall be laid in flexible (corrugated) conduits inside the walls, respectively
above the ceiling where the conduits shall be attached to the ceiling suspension elements.
The flexible corrugated conduits will be of LHC type, halogen free, without toxic gases,
corrosive gases and opaque smokes, for operating temperatures of up to 105 oC and in
accordance with the standards: EN 13501, EN 50086 and EN60423.
The auxiliary and junction boxes for this type of flexible conduits will be made of
material with similar characteristics to the ones defined for the conduits.
Each cable shall be installed in individual conduit.
In technical rooms with concrete walls:
The cables for individual consumers and commutation devices shall be installed in
rigid metal conduits
CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE 1 OF NATIONAL DISPOSAL FACILITY
The cables for lighting fixtures installed in lines (the premises L-1-01 ÷ L-1-05) shall
be laid in perforated galvanized steel cable trays which serve in the same time as supports
for the fixtures.
The design basis and main ratings are according to document EQEB-11207-TD-ЕLE-
R01, section 9 from the Technical Design.
In the present revision, new calculations of the lighting in the technical building are
presented. They were made by the Contractor company due to the accepted replacement
of fluorescent lighting fixtures with LED lighting fixtures. The lighting installation shown in
drawing AP-R10-WD-ELE-R09-D071 has been adjusted according to the new lighting
fixtures.
This part of the project is according to the previous revision of the project.
13.1. Earthing system
Earthing system consists of the following components:
Foundation electrode.
Constitutes of a ring installed on the periphery of foundation with cross-
connections at each 20 m approximately. Solid copper conductor 50 mm 2 (
8) shall be used. The foundation electrode shall be attached to the
reinforcement thus providing grounding of the whole building structure.
Potential equalizing ring.
