ABC BOOK PROJECT

As a follow up to the Dark is Rising novel, you will be creating an ABC book. You are to include a fact and an opinion on each
page of your book, and your book will be graded on the following elements:

 Cover: Your book should have a cover, which contains a title that is large enough to read from a distance, the name of the
book's author, and an illustration or decoration.

 Title Page: The title page needs to include the title of the book, an explanation of the project, and your name.

 Complete - with Pictures and Color: You are to have a page for every letter of the alphabet. Each page should have a
letter prominently displayed; a word, phrase, or idea from the novel that starts with that letter; and some sort of picture
or decoration. There must be at least two sentences per page: one stating a fact and one stating an opinion. The fact and
opinion statements must be tied to the word, phrase, or idea that goes with the letter. You are welcome to include more
than two sentences per page!

 Neatness: Your book MUST be neatly completed.

 Writing & Conventions: The sentences included in your book need to be written correctly following the rules of grammar,
mechanics, and punctuation. Spelling counts!

 Creativity: You are to use creativity as you complete this project!
