Pressure test for lines is carried out in the below corresponding sequence:
1.Valves are being closed, so that the entire line is isolated.
2.Air plug on top of the line is screwed out.
3.Water is connected to the special connection on the line’s manifold.
4.Line is filled with water until water starts to come out of the air plug and the air plug is screwed in.
5.Then the water connection is removed and compressed air is connected to the same connection on the line’s
manifold.
6.The line is pressurized to a valve of 12 bar for 15 minutes. Whole line is inspected for leakage.
7.After the test, if water in oil contaminated drain it into the drum using a rubber hose that is connected to a drain
connection situated on the line’s manifold.
NOTE:
1.File on board, one copy to be sent to company with monthly reports for tests conducted during month.
2.Entry in oil record book (ORB) to be made for oily water drained into drum after testing.
3.If any other medium used for line testing, then make correction accordingly in the procedure mentioned above.
