The invention of antibiotics was a huge step for medicine. Alexander Fleming is the notable for discovering
antibiotics particularly penicillin during the 1920’s. He did this accidentally, but after he acknowledged what he
had done, antibiotics spread enormously fast throughout the entire world. Antibiotics are medicines that fight
infections caused by bacteria in humans and animals by either killing the bacteria or making it difficult for the
bacteria to grow and multiply. Antibiotics have been reported to prevent and cure a range of mild to severe
diseases and ailments. Antibiotics are truly one of the best medical inventions until today. In health care,
antibiotics are one of our most powerful drugs for fighting life-threatening bacterial infections. It is really
beneficial to mankind as it helps prevent disease from getting worse and it saves lives.
