THESIS TOPIC 2 : Ayurvedic and

Therapy Centre

1.Introduction of the Topic: Ayurveda is the one of the Intricate


system of healing that originated in India thousands of years
ago and it is more than just a medical system , it is science of life
AYU-Life
VEDA-Knowledge
It places a great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance
of health through attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet,
lifestyle and the use of herbs.

2. Significance/Justification of the topic :


1. To benchmark the project with global centres of traditional medicine
and develop it as an intergraded Centre of Excellence
2. To provide an infrastructure, with address the current gaps in the paths
of Ayurveda and enhance the opportunities with a motive to transform
Kerala as “World Capital of Ayurveda”
3.AIM: The Idea of the project is to provide a space where the people
can escape from the daily hustle bustle of the life and treat physical and
mental problems
These centres will provide personalized treatments, goals and professional
consultation programs towards healthy lifestyle.

4.Objectives : 1. To challenge the preconceived notion centres


2.To learn and understand healing as a part of build
environment
3. To create a holistic environment that restore and
maintain the
Equilibrium between mind, body
4.To understand the five elements of nature and five
senses as a healing.

5.Scope: Integrate landscape as a major elements in to the built-form


To integrate Water as a main element of healing
Designing spaces according to the user behavioural patterns
Cautions designing of Acoustics

6.Limitations: Ayurvedic centre should be bit far from the city


Mostly preferable near forest
With good atmosphere and no pollution areas

7.Methodology: Ayurvedic treatments have their own approach to


managing diseases rather than trying to treat a disease in
isolation.Ayurvedic takes into account an individual in his entirety .
Ayurveda system teaches that, human body consists of three primary life
forces which are
1.Vata
2. Pitta
3.Kapha
