DAY 4 - DEBATES

The day 4 debate started which was mostly focussed on the emergency attack which took place
at the midnight of 29th march 2023. These debates were moderated by Kaushiki das and
Apoorva Ramakrishnan from the election commission of India.

RPP PCP

Opening Statement - They posed PCP to be
undemocratic as their updated manifesto was
not shown in the official website where they
also talk about having single order agency,
penalize entities and improving security. Pcp
instagram handle also mentioned a drive link
but it was unaccessible.
Opening Statement - PCP in its manifesto,
ideology and rules has mentioned about
strategic ally deal with issues, safety of raw
agents, and other officers whose identities
have been compromised, which is not
reference but their way of democratic
movement.

Just for reference manifesto - how can PCP

pose a reference manifesto for people and
who is their legal council for elaboration of
the manifesto

Main Argument - change in society, address Main Argument - RPP tends to make
crises, effective policies, improve hypocritic promises while during the hour of
surveillance, deploy more troops to encourage national threats, it is sleeping in comfort
domestic defense and reduce import, enhance
India’s capability to coordinate cybersecurity
efforts itself, while PCP does not have any
vision for policy formulation.

Closing Statement - PCP places forward no Closing Statement - PCP does not believe in
strategies or clear policies about anything, giving false promises but optimized results
rather just encourages double standards. and also in taking measures for its protection
However, RPP has clearly mentioned
cybersecurity addresses and awareness, on the
other hand, any point in defense of pcp does
not give a solution about any crisis but only
raises controversies.

RPP vs PCP
The debate was between the Reformist People's Party vs Progressive Conservative Party. The
RPP claims that the manifesto of PCP has the unplanned structure of running a government and
questions about just giving a reference manifesto instead of giving the actual manifesto. RPP in
their argument wants to tackle the emphasized that they would increase surveillance, increase the
budgetary allocation for construction of border infrastructure etc. PCP argued that when the
nation was facing the cyber security issue the RPP were sleeping in comfort. RPP responded to
the remark that they were examining and decided to form a committee which would deal with the
crisis. PCP mentioned in their argument that they were the first party to address the emergency
attack which happened at midnight. They concluded their argument by saying that if they come
into power they will protect the nation’s interest and people of India.

JSRP vs IYDF :
The debate was between Jana Samveda Rakshaka Paksha and Indian Youth development front.
Both parties were discussing mostly about the cyber attack on the ministry of defense and were
trying to bring a solution through their manifestos. To solve this issue IYDF put forward their
idea of working with NATO. The dias came up the point of information by asking why did they
mention about the idea of India working with NATO as historically and contemporary events
does not suggest that India taking a very pro NATO stance it always stayed away from the power
blocks especially and the collaboration with NATO is a far reaching claim.The IYDF replied to
dais by highlighting that they follow the idea of Vasudhaiva kutumbakam which emphasizes the
world as one family during that time we don’t look at the ideologies or politics. JSRP in their
argument criticized IYDF for not having any measures about cyber security due to lack of
awareness on cyber problems. They wanted to change the nuclear codes regularly so that the
access can be limited only to the Prime Minister and ministry of defense. At the end of this
debate a breaking news arised of CBSE portal being hacked and the hall tickets of the students
were deleted.

PEST vs PCP:
The debate was between People Empowering Social Transformation(P.E.S.T) vs Progressive
conservative Party(PCP). P.E.S.T started their argument by giving condolences to the 40 brave
soldiers who lost their life in the battle field and addressed the national emergency crisis. The
party has taken measures to protect the president and wanted all political parties to keep aside
their disagreements and strive to address this issue by cyber attack. There was no point of
information asked from the PCP. The PCP in their argument addressed that they have started
working on strategies to combat the crisis. P.E.S.T argued that the PCP has just mentioned the
youth and has neglected to mention any measures to develop children’s education. Then the PCP
criticized the policy of P.E.S.T for manufacturing the Electronic vehicles which are made with
usage of lithium batteries which contributes to environmental degradation.PCP concluded their
argument by making a statement that they don’t want to give any false promises and instead
optimising their decision by effectively implementing the policies.
