ABSTRACT

The project report is an analysis on the study of Employee Attrition at Amazon in


the fields of Human resource management. The objective of this study is to
understand the various factors that are responsible for the employee attrition rate at
Amazon. This is a hypothetical dataset on Employee Attrition at Amazon. The
dataset consists of 916 rows and 17 columns describing the Job role match,
Promotions and other characteristics. These details will give a broader perspective
on whether the employee is still in the company or they have left. Several Machine
learning Algorithms will help in understanding and determining how these factors
are related to Employee Attrition. Attrition occurs when the workforce leaves the
company where the employee resign, retire and are not replaced. This leads to
excessive cost for the company as new staff needs to be hired and trained again. It
is vital for the Human resource Department to minimize the rate of Employee
attrition by identifying and analyzing the factors that prompt the employees to leave
the company. The steps followed in the study are Data collection, Analyzing the
data, Preprocessing of the data and Model development.
