Dear Hiring Committee,

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application for this teaching position. As an aspiring
teacher, it is of my utmost importance to continually grow for the future lives I will impact. This May I
will graduate from the University of Delaware with my Master of Education in Exceptional Children and
Youth and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Teacher Education with a concentration in English as a
Second Language.

I value the dedication this school system takes in supporting each learner's individual experience. In the
classroom, I hold myself to the standards of integrity, inclusivity, responsibility, and leadership.

Over the past year, I have worked at Bohemia Manor Middle School as a Student Intern. Working closely
with both the Special Education Coordinator and the 6th-grade Special Educator, I have learned the
importance of inclusivity and responsibility. I spent time differentiating instruction for students with
unique needs, participated in IEP meetings, and delivered and analyzed assessments to guide instruction,
ultimately creating an inclusive learning environment for all students.

Spending the last school year working as a Student Teacher at Richardson Park Elementary School and
West Park Place Elementary School, I have learned the importance of integrity. I spent each day working
closely with students. I managed a caseload of 60+ students placed strategically in 10 separate groups. I
spent each day managing instructional time to help students achieve their highest potential.

While at the University of Delaware, I have held several leadership positions. My most recent position
includes being the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Delaware Women’s Lacrosse team where I assist in
planning and organizing practices while organizing all internal operations within the team. I have learned
the importance of delegating and managing responsibilities to facilitate events, meet strategic goals and
create a larger impact on individual lives.

I would love the opportunity to work in your establishment and further discuss with you my qualifications
for the position. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Mollie McCormack
