I. Direction: Identify what is being asked to complete the chart about
CentralVisayas.
Central Visayas lies at the center of the Philippines
Provinces archipelagobetween islands of Luzon and Mindanao. Four island
provincescompose the region, namely; Bohol, Cebu, Negros
Oriental andSiquijor. The terrain is characterized by highlands
with narrowcoastal strips of arable land. Bohol, however, has a
level plateauupon which its agricultural areas are concentrated.
The region'spremier urban and major business, industrial and
services centeris Metro Cebu, located in Cebu province.
•Central Visayas, designated as Region VII, is a region of
Cities thePhilippines located in the central part of the Visayas island
group.It consists of four provinces—Bohol, Cebu, Negros
Oriental, andSiquijor— and the highly urbanized cities of Cebu
City, Lapu-LapuCity, and Mandaue City. The region is dominated
by the nativespeakers of Cebuano. Cebu City is its regional
center.
There are, as of now, 16 cities that complete the Central Visayas
region; these are:

The Bisayan or Visayan languages are a group of languagesspoken
Dialects mainly in the Visayas region of the Philippines. They arepart of
the large Austronesian language family that includes
otherPhilippine languages such as Tagalog and several outside
thecountry such as Malay and Indonesian, but they are not
mutuallyintelligible with those languages and only to a limited
extent witheach other.

The most important of these languages is:Cebuano, spoken as the


main local language throughout CebuProvince, Negros Oriental,
Bohol, Siquijor and Camiguin, and inmuch of Mindanao and Leyte.
There are regional differences, butall variants are mutually
intelligible to a high degree.Cebuano is often called Bisaya by its
speakers or Visayan inEnglish.

Adhered to a complex Hindu-Buddhist and animist system where
spirits in nature were believed to govern all existing life.
Traditions Festivals have a strong association with Roman Catholicism
despite apparent integration of ancient Hindu-Buddhist-Animist
& Cultures
folklore particularly the tradition of dances and the idols in the
image of the Child Jesus commonly named as the Santo Niño.
Ethnic dances from the region are common in any traditional
Filipino setting

The bayanihan spririt pervades among. This spirit is best shown
during their wake for dead.
Traditions Prefers to stay with their family in his country even if all other
friends leave for greener pastures.

parents and other married brothers and sisters.
