To whom it my concern,

My name is Katherine Eskes and I am a junior from Ripon, California. My

expertise lies in communication & marketing, teamwork, time-management,
and organization. I participate in yearbook, art 1, and both school as well as
club volleyball.

Although this is my second year in yearbook, I have gained skills in

communication simply because the spreads we create need to be cohesive
with each other. Similar to when interviewing students, I have had to
communicate well to businesses when asking them to buy ads for our book.
Yearbook has been a great pathway for me to learn how to market and
advertise with appealing designs, and manage my time to meet the deadlines.

Art 1 has taught me a lot of time management, but has also helped me develop
my creative side as I would like to pursue architecture and potentially
environmental design in college. I would like to attend college either close to
home, or in neighboring states. Also, I would love to have the opportunity to
play volleyball in college.

For my first full year of high school volleyball, I was captain of the JV team. We
had a really good bond with each other, and with skill and practice, we were
able to have a really good season; with an 88% win percentage. We also
placed 1st in the Golden Valley tournament, which was really fun. So I have a
lot of experience with teamwork and time-management mainly due to
volleyball and having to work around my tournaments, games, or practices. I
also need to be really organized to keep all of these things straight, which
comes naturally, but my planner is also a lifesaver.
