ADDENDUM TO DIVISION MEMORANDUM NO. 412, S. 2022, TITLED ITERATION OF

THE POLICIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ON THE OPERATION AND
MANAGEMENT OF SCHOOL CANTEENS IN PUBLIC
ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS

1. Relative to the Division Memorandum No. 412, s. 2022 titled Iteration of the Policies
of the Department of Education on the Operation and Management of School Canteens in
PubUc Elementary and Secondary Schools, all pubUc elementary and secondary school
heads are strictly reminded of the purpose of rationalizing and ensuring transparent
operation and management of school canteens as per stipulated to Sub. Par. 1.6 Reporting
and accounting of the proceeds from the operation of a school canteen shall be made by
the parties concerned to emphasize transparency and accountability.

2. Preferential attention is invited on paragraphs 5.0 to Sub Paragraph 5.5. Procedural

Guidelines, sub-Par. 5.3, 5.3.1. All entities operating and managing a school canteen,
including the laboratoiy canteen, shall regularly prepare the foUowing reportorial
requirements to be submitted to the DepEd and/or CDA, whichever is appUcable:
