Writing for “Dante Purgatorio, Cantos XXIV-XXXIII” 147
This reading was quite interesting. The word "light" appeared to be used in many aspects.
I enjoy discussing how each individual can interpret the sun's light differently. From this reading,
you can only imagine the level of danger and despair that exist in purgatory. How would you feel
if you were in a situation like that and saw a sunbeam? Enlightened, yes? Dante delivered that to
everyone present, demonstrating to them that there was some hope for the future.
One quote mentions, "So you can understand how love must be the seed of every virtue
growing in you and every deed that merits punishment." A decline might occur when someone is
completely shut off by what they have in front of them. At this point, most anger is not intended
to be displayed in raw form, and the acceptable degrees are now varied.
