The uprising of the Internet is a way to connect people and allow people to access

information across the globe. It is also an age where the entertainment sector inflated with
companies such as, Netflix, Amazon, Disney, YouTube and many more companies offer platforms for
people to enjoy the content created by various people. However, many parents think that children
under 16 should not be given access to the Internet, I disagree on this statement.

As mentioned, the Internet is a place where we can access information across the globe. If
the children do not have access to the internet, they will be missing an opportunity explore the
various information and references. This could limit their knowledge on the world around them. This
could also prevent them from interacting with the platforms created and may have trouble when
they try to develop something of their own.

Secondly, not having access to the Internet also means that there could be no
communication with anyone. Without any Internet service, most of the platforms that require Wi-Fi
cannot be used as they depend on the Internet to deliver messages, such as WhatsApp, Messenger
and Telegram. This could prevent the child from finishing the homework as the only source of
information would be from school through physical interaction between classmates or teachers.

Preventing the use of Internet would a blow in terms of finance too. Since the children are nt
allowed to use the internet to communicate, they will start looking for alternatives. One alternative
is to use phones to call their friends and get information on how to homework. However, it may be
more expensive as calls to discuss homework can be very long and it is wasting every penny as time
of the call increases. Therefore, utilising the Internet package that has been bought could prevent
this financial blow.

In conclusion, preventing the use of Internet for children under the age of 16 will bring forth
a lot of disadvantages. Children would not be able to know the current trend and condition of the
world, nor they can communicate with others to get information or any updates.
